Saturday. You. Wal-Mart. Free ice cream.
Boy, Wal-Mart's tricky. It thinks that just because it's giving away free ice cream, it's going to get all sorts of publicity...And it's not wrong. And we here at WalletPop live to give our readers the best, um, scoops. Especially when it comes to freebies.
For the second year in a row, Wal-Mart will be handing out approximately 1 million free pre-packaged ice cream treats in 2,000 Super Center Wal-Marts across the country, this very Saturday (May 30).
If you're interested in getting some free ice cream, show up between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., where the frozen treats will include Ben and Jerry's Flipped Out Cup ice cream, Blue Bunny Aspen Frozen Yogurt Granola Bars and Dibs Snack Bags.
For a full list, and to confirm that the Wal-Mart in your area is one of the ones handing out the goodies, check here.

This site is pretty cool. I see a lot of this in this site that interest me. I will pass on the word about the free ice cream at Wal-Mart. It is time that they give back to the community. This site and www.b-inspiredgifts.com will be visited by me more often. Thumbs up!

Kinda reminds me of the sign on the wall in some bars that says, "Free Beer Tomorrow". You come back the next day and they tell you to read the sign again. Also like all the free food you can haul away on the second Tuesday of next week.

It has becoming increasingly clear to me that Wal Mart is way out in front with their perfected and proven fiscal responsibility. While other major retailers are failing, Wal Mart finds a way to employ more Americans, in a large part helping to keep the economy alive. You may not agree with all of their the means, but they have a better grasp of economics than the floundering and desperate government administration, in my opinion.

If Walmart want to really help the economy, they can go back to their "American Made" ways. When I was younger they were always saying that this, that or the other product was "American Made." If they would make a conscious effort to put American made products in their stores they could help to insure more Americans have jobs. I'd pay a little more for something if I knew it helped us as a whole.

Oh big deal, the Dollar Tree has ice cream treats for $1 every day. I'd rather not stand in line with a bunch of chubbettes for free ice cream

Just what a country with 63% obesity levels needs - free ice cream.
I hope Wal-Mart has an ambulance handy in case anyone gets trampled.
There are causes for which to make the ultimate sacrifice but a free Fudgsicle ain't one of 'em in my book.

I personally don"t shop at Walmart as it caters to the lower income such as maids and bean pickers. The employees are usually dumb as a box of rocks and talk like they are from a tiny village high up in the mountains and only recently came down.Cheap is cheap and they sell cheap crap, it took me awhile to convince my wife but now she finally agrees. Thanks for letting me vent on this crappy company

im not a maid, but i just had to respond to this bc, i dont know where your from, but in my city ( syracuse,ny) maids arent low income. my ex bf's mom was a houskeeper and she made 25/hr and often got $500-$1000 holiday bonuses, so stop acting like your above these people.

don't degrade Wal-Mart......you make yourself sound like some snobbish upper-class know-it-all......and don't degrade maids and housekeepers. No I'm not either one but you sound awfully bitter about them for some reason or other and it's making you look like an @ss.....GROW UP!!!!

I hope I never see you in Walmart. God forbid if you ever become low income. Evidently, you have it made or you have alot of money. I think you are disgusting to think that low income, bean pickers and whom ever else seems to be so much lower than you, chose to go to Walmart. Low Life money bags!

Responding to Pete, Walmart caters to the frugal shopper for sure, but there is a wide range of income levels of people who shop there. I notice that rich people like to shop at discount stores because they like bargains too. I like to go there on occasion because they have items that I don't get at other stores. They have a nice flower mart section for one. I can somewhat relate to your irritation with the types of people who shop there. When I go to Walmart or Sam's Club, the people who shop there in general look like blank staring zombies. I get this really cold unfriendly feeling when I shop there. I think the people who shop in these stores need to get personalities. Anway, thanks for a good laugh..
